Saturday 1/20 Zwift Ride

With a forecast high of 24 degrees the weatherman is telling Bubba to stay inside and play games on Saturday.  For anyone interested in sharing some misery, I am hosting a Zwift ride at 8:30 AM.  In order to join up you:
1. Need to be a Zwift subscriber.
2. Have to follow me on Zwift (jim Shea).  Feel free to discontinue after Saturday.
Please reply back to this email and be sure to include your name on Zwift. Late tomorrow I will send invites to join our Meetup with a planned session of 2 hours.  We will allow late starters and early exits but unlike our usual rides you will not be able to outsprint the Bubba pack.
Otherwise you might want to get busy knitting that sweater (NC Blue of course) to give to Boss at his upcoming Hall of Fame induction.

Update: Roll at 9:30

It looks like we are in a bad weather pattern of rain every weekend. Currently, the forecasts are showing 30 to 40% chance of rain on Saturday morning with chances going up in the afternoon and into Sunday.

For now, we will plan to roll from Mike’s at 9:00 and try to kill 2 hours riding around Northshore until Mike’s opens at 11. If it starts pouring, we can bail: Hillz + Poop Lap from Mike’s

Stay tuned for updates.

Hopefully the weather turns better for the Chimney Ride next week. The Weather Channel is currently showing rain!

Tuesday 12/5

Roll from Whole Foods between 4;00 and 6:00 for laps at the Bend.   Jump on and off the loop as you have time.   The Hillz group rolls at 4:00 from Whole Foods or meet on the ridge at 4:10.

Rich Rudner of Chattanooga Bicycle Club will be at Whole Foods to shoot more video clips for Boss‘ Chattanooga Cycling Hall of Fame video. He will be in the back left (northwest) corner of the parking lot (where we park to ride) around 5:20. If you want to shoot a video, please be there between 5:20 and 5:45 with a bubba kit to wear. The videos only consist of you saying your bubba name, so they don’t take long to shoot. This will likely be the last opportunity to do this, so please come out tomorrow if you haven’t already shot your video with Rich.
