Sat. 5/20

I’m not very optimistic about the weather so for that reason, Elite’s will mirror TB ride. Roll from Mike’s Hole in the Wall at 8am. See map for route. Easy to short by picking a spot on the map and waiting for TB to zoom by.

Sat. 5/13

Option 1 – Mullins Cove out and back. Roll from Suck Creek Baptist Church at 9am. Bike of your choice but I’m taking the gravel bike. Road might still be a little damp. 45 miles.

Option 2 – Chase TB rolling at 8:30 from Falling Water.

Option 3 – Roll at 9am from St Elmo Food City for a ride to Mountain Cove and back led by Barry Allen and Steve Strain.

Sat. 5/6

Option 1 – Bluegrass ride (see TB post). While it’s a long ride, it’s worth seeing the Little River Canyon and then hanging out after the ride for some great bluegrass. Skip the climb and start from John Carrol’s House

Option 2 – The No Knucklheads are rolling at 9am from Tunnel Hill Park for a ride south to Subligna and back. Great rollers. See map for starting point. https://www.strava.com/routes/3061495821329920564

Option 3 – good luck to those that are doing the Hincapie Fondo. Have fun

Sat. 4/29

Option 1 – chase TB at 8:30

Option 2 – Roll from St. Elmo Food City at 8:45 in order to create some natural separation with TB. Will take the TB route south but will cut it short just past Hwy 193 when we’ll take a left on Akins Rd. off of Cove Rd. Will return the same way as TB by taking a left on Kensington Rd off of Hwy 193. 54 miles and 3,200 ft.

Option 3 – Battlefield at 9am with Larry English and the No Knuckleheads. +/- 3 hours

Sat/Sun 4/22/23

Weather is cooperating so Saturday is on.

Roll from St. Elmo Food City with TB at 9am. 2 options

Option 1 climbs Nick-a-Jack, turn left at top to 136 where we’ll descend and come back via Marble Top (includes the Fish Hook at the end) 42 miles. See Map below.

Option 2 will take a Powder and come back down the mountain and roll around N. Georgia, and find our way back to Ridgeland HS and back via Salem. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42611040

Sunday roll from St. Elmo Food City at noon for a King led ride south. Route TBD but expect about 60 miles.

Sat. 4/15

Option 1 – Chase TB

Option 2 – roll out from the Little White Church in Sequatchie Valley at 9am EDT and cruise up to Pikeville and back. North will be on East Valley Rd. and South on the west side of hwy 127. 50 miles and map posted. The question is, will TB catch us before we get to the Henson Gap turn or does anyone really care?

Option 3 – shorter version of option 2. For those that get dropped on the way up to Pikeville, we’ll cross over at College Station Mtn Rd. Head north until we run into group returning from Pikeville. 35 – 43 miles. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42517204

Option 4 – No Knucklehead Ride with Dean Poi – 9:00 from the Battlefield for +/- 3 hours on roads less traveled in North Georgia. Tranquilo pace. Van der Pool imitators are welcome.

Sat. 4/8

Weather’s not looking good. I suggest riding at your own risk. TB will update ride info at 9am Saturday so keep an eye out for that. Another option is Dean Poi’ rides:

Saturday 9:00 from Food City—Tennessee Avenue in St. Elmo—to Mountain Cove. A beautiful 65 mile ride. Want to cut it short?

Gordon Lee HS, Chickamauga, GA at 9:30. This ride will join the Food City group to the Cove for 40-plus miles

Rain cancels both options.
